Willie C. Smith

Willie Charles Smith, 55, of Shreveport, LA passed away on 06/25/24.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on 07/09/24 at Boone Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Centuries Memorial Park at 12 pm. Pastor Diana Roberison will be officiating. Visitation was held at 3:30 pm on 07/02/24 at Boone Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boone Funeral Home.

Willie Charles was born in Shreveport on 04/17/69. He attended Fair Park High School and continued to learn a skill from a Master Plumber, our Dad, "Roy". He worked with our Dad for many years before becoming independent. He had an extraordinary talent for creating art.

Willie Charles was a self-employed plumber and laborer for several years. His favorite type of music was The Blues. Some would consider him an old soul. He loved being with family and friends. 

Willie Charles is survived by his sisters, Lisa (Greg) Welch, Mary Appacrombie, and Lora Smith, nieces & nephews, and other family and friends. 

Willie Charles is preceded in death by Alex "Lil Roy" Smith, Jr., Demarcus Smith, Ida & Alex Smith, Rex Appacrombie.

Our family would like to thank, Jimmy Taylor and Mrs. Everlyn at Boone Funeral Home. Your presence and words were a comfort for me & my family.
