Bossier City, LA ? Funeral services for Alva Willis ?Willie? Freeman will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier. Interment will follow in Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Ivan, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Dexter Hewitt. The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home on Monday between the hours of 6:00 and 7:00 PM. Willie, 54, born April 10, 1958 in Winnsboro, LA passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 after a brief illness. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in Shreveport and completed a vocational certification curriculum at Northwest Louisiana Technical College Shreveport Campus. He loved the outdoors and pursued that passion by never passing up an opportunity to go camping, hunting, or fishing. Willie was preceded in death by father, Ralph Freeman and brother-in-law, Victor Harrington. He is survived by his mother, Faye Freeman Singleton, two sisters, Darlene (David) Poole, Holly (Miles) Lim, two daughters, Bridgette Freeman, Kristen Freeman, three grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and fiancée Keena Brown.
