William Mercer

Baton Rouge—Funeral services for Mr. Bill Mercer will be held Saturday November 10, 2007 at 11:00am at Boone Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Crichton Cemetery in Red River Parish. Mr. Mercer, a native of Bossier City, passed from this life November 7, 2007 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech class of 1958 and retired after working as Associate State Forester. Preceding Bill in death are his parents, William Darius Mercer, IV and Lillie Marie Verrett Mercer. He is survived by his sons, William Darius Mercer, VI and wife Rachael Mercer, and Eric T. Mercer and wife Michelle Kinchen Mercer; brother, John Mercer and wife Lanita Mercer; five grandchildren, David Mercer, Josh Lewis, Lindsay Lewis, Ryan Zumo, and William D. Mercer, VII. Pallbearers will be David Mercer, Josh Lewis, Ralph Merrit, John Byrd, Barry McGee, and Richard Bolin. Honorary pallbearers will be William D. Mercer, VII and Ryan Zumo.
