William LeGrand

d. December 22, 2021

William LeGrand, 81, of Bossier City, LA passed away on December 22, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer. William was married to his sweetheart, Evelyn LeGrand, for over 57 years. They resided in the Bossier City area where they raised their two children and built a life together. William started working when he was just a teen. He spent over twenty years at Kast Metals Corporation as a pattern rigger, and was later employed as a supervisor at the Bossier City, Dept. of Streets and Drainage for 22 years. William's hobby was working on small engines. After he retired, he stayed busy by helping his friends and neighbors keep their lawn equipment going. Every day he looked forward to going outside in the back yard to "piddle" with the lawnmowers and weed eaters. He never met a stranger, and always left quite an impression. He was known for his silly sense of humor and was always full of mischief. To know him was to love him. William is survived by his wife Evelyn LeGrand; children, Tina Oliver and husband Daryl, and Steven LeGrand, Jonathon LeGrand (grandson and wife Audra), Magen LeGrand (granddaughter), Courtney Curtis (granddaughter) and Krystal Hines (granddaughter- and husband Jonathon), Sybil Layfield (sister), five great grandchildren, Cupcake the chihuahua (his best friend), and numerous other family and friends. William is preceded in death by James LeGrand, Lola Mae LeGrand, Evelyn Longino, Ella Mae Longino, Dempsey LeGrand, Robert "Bob" LeGrand, and Lowell LeGrand. The family of Mr. LeGrand wishes to thank Robert Nickelson, M.D., the Willis Knighton Cancer Center, and Hand in Hand Hospice, for their kindness and compassion during William's cancer battle.
