William Edward Felts (Ed), 62, of Bossier City, LA, was called home on June 9th, 2022.
We will be Remembering Ed this Saturday, August 13th, 11:00a-2:00p at Shane’s Seafood & BBQ in Bossier City, LA. We would love to have all family and friends come join us.
Ed was born in Shreveport, LA on May 27, 1960 to Joan Ann Hornlein Felts and Thomas (Tommy) Rodulph Felts Jr. He graduated from Bossier High School, our parents Alma Mater, in 1978.
Ed really loved his family and friends, especially his new neighbors at Cloverdale who knew him as “Bulldog”. His favorite things to do were hunting with his best buddy Rob, camping with Dennis and other friends, flower gardening, and eating, especially “mater samwiches” at this time of year. He loved his country, all things NASCAR and Harley Davidson, LSU, the Saints, and Helena Husky Football. He inherited our Daddy’s talent for “making something” out of nothing, and making broken things “new” again. His life’s work was always making or fixing something with his hands … auto mechanic, landscaping, tile installation, etc.
He is survived by his son, Jason Felts (Shannon); grandchildren, Micaela, Liam, and Trevor Felts; sisters, Suzy Felts LeFebvre (Tom), Kathy Felts-Ashby (Edward), Rainey Felts Lang, and Melanee Felts Romero (Casey); brothers, Joe McMillon, Michael McMillon (Sharon), Randy McMillon (Rhonda), and Jay Felts (Kelly); nieces and nephews, Kris Bustamento, Jerome’ Vailes, Shelley Vailes Amon (Jason), Steven, Daniel, and Anna McMillon, Georgette Lang (Jason), Matt Lang, Abbie McMillon (Cole Meadows), Austin McMillon, Sloan St. Germain, Anna Sage Provost-Anderson, and Yancy Romero; great nieces and nephews, Steven, Kaysn, and Alexa Bustamento, Zayne Vailes (Josie), Zhane’ Vailes, Jessie Lang, Jackson and Thomas Amon, Legend and Navi McMillon, Ava and Carver Meadows, Lexi and JC Anderson, and River St Germain. Other surviving family members include Miriam Felts, Uncles, Donnie Felts (Judy) and Larry Felts (Carol), Aunt Bonnie Hornlein Anderson (Bob) and many cousins and 2nd cousins, especially Shanna Felts Johnson (Scott).
Ed was preceded in death by his Mom, Joan McMillon; Dad, Tommy Felts; his hunting buddy Rob Lang; and his grandparents Ann and Otha Phillips, T.R. Felts, Sr, and Hazel and Edward Hornlein. We know he was glad to see them as he missed each of them greatly! He left us unexpectedly and we miss him terribly.
Ed’s family wishes to thank his friends at Cloverdale for the joy they brought to the last chapter of his life.
