William Borel

Bossier City, LA ? Funeral services for William L. Borel will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at St. Jude?s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Pike. The family will receive friends March 19, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM Lynn was born April 23, 1941 in Lake Charles, LA and at a young age decided to join the Air Force. He proudly served his country in the Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. After his first retirement, he went on and served 20 years as a Department of Defense employee. Preceding Lynn in death are his parents, Joseph and Gladys Borel; brothers, Joseph Adam Borel, Jr. and Charles Edward Borel. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janetta Byerly Borel; son, Lt Col William L. Borel, Jr. and wife Michele Bush Borel; daughter, Virginia Christina Damerell and husband Russell Damerell; grandchildren, Madelyn, Claire and Jenna Borel, Joseph and Cassandra Groves; sisters, Marjorie Fourmerat of Houston, TX; brother, James Borel of Lake Charles, LA. The family would like to express their staff and doctors of Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital with special thanks to Drs. Dhawan and Kamm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Garland Scout Ranch BSA.
