Virginia Rice

Services for Virginia Rice (Ginger) age 73 of Shreveport will be held Saturday August 22, 2020,  11:00 at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Drive Bossier City LA 71111. Officiating the service will be Pastor Carl Gilmer of Crossroads Church.

Ginger was born January 14, 1947 in Oil City and passed away August 18, 2020 in Shreveport.  Ginger worked for Ark-LA-Gas in a data entry position where she made many friends.  More important, she loved her family.  Raising Cindy was her focus. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Allie M Powell; sister, Erie Mae (Tiny) Williams; brother, Jonny Richards (TW) Hunter.

She is survived by daughter, Cindy Stegall and husband John M Stegall Sr.; two grandchildren Philip N Stegall and John M Stegall Jr.; great-granddaughter Lacey Stegall; brothers Pete and wife Katherine of Shreveport, and Henry and wife Diana of Tyler Texas.

Family dearly expresses there thanks and appreciation to Stratmore Heritage Manor, WK Piermont and Saint Joseph Hospice for all the loving care of Ginger.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
