Tommy Lynn Hammonds

Tommy Lynn “Paw Paw” Hammonds, age 74, of Atlanta, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday evening May 20, 2022. Tommy was born May 31, 1947 in Old Union, Texas to R.T. and Margaret Hammons. He was in the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. Tommy was self-employed. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Bloomburg, Texas. His hobbies included playing guitar, and spending quality time with his grandkids. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Hubert Hammons, and William Terrell “Mutt” Hammond, two sisters, Carolyn Lawrence, and Barbara Jean Prince. Tommy is survived by his wife of 56 years Linda Hammonds, three children, daughter, Nikki Brown and husband Greg of Atlanta, Texas, son, Derek Hammonds and wife Rae of Atlanta, Texas, son, Bo Hammonds and wife Kim of Atlanta, Texas, a brother, Paul Hammons and wife Sandra of Hooks Texas, sister, Judy May and husband Gawain of Bossier City, Louisiana, 8 grandchildren, Bj Hammonds, Andrew Hammonds, Maia Brown, Caleb Dowda, Blaine Hammonds, Noah Dowda, Eli Brown, Alex Hammonds, and a host of other family, friends, and relatives. The family of Tommy will have a private Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VA, and the Alzheimers Foundation.
