Tommie Sue Adcock, age 75, passed away on October 25, 2024 in Shreveport, LA. Born on August 6, 1949, Tommie dedicated 5 decades of her life to the art of donut-making, beginning her career at Southern Maid, which was later named The Donut Shop in 1996. Her role as a Master of Donuts was cherished by many in the community, leaving behind a legacy of culinary delight.
Tommie was also an avid gardener, finding peace and joy in the growth and bloom of her plants. This hobby offered her a sanctuary and a way to share beauty with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Everett, and her sisters, Carol Frey, Mary Gibson and Sandy Corbin. Tommie is survived by her daughter Tracie Winkler; grandchildren, Josh Waters, Megan Smarr, Desiree Brewster, Ty Swanson, Caressa Williams, Jerry Winkler and Jana Winkler; great-grandchildren, Hannah Smarr, Cataleya Sepulvado, Jerry Sepulvado III, Wyatt Smarr and Katie Brewster; and her sister, Janet Fox.
Tommie's life was marked by her dedication to her family, her passion for her craft and her love of nature. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.
