Thomas Cowart

Thomas Charles (Mickey) Cowart, age 64, was born June 28, 1949, in Picayune Mississippi to Mabelle Mcgrew and the late Vernell Cowart. The Lord called him home at 7:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Christus Health - Highland in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1952, at the age of three, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and resided there (retiring after 30 years from Caesar Palace, last position- Pit-Manager) until he and his spouse moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 2000. One brother, Donald, preceded him in death. He leaves to celebrate his life: mother, Maybelle Cowart; 7 brothers, all of Las Vegas: Reginal, Vernell, Edward, Isiah, Larry, Anthony, Kenny; one sister, Wanda, also of Las Vegas; two sons, Paul and Sedrict of Los Angeles, California; two daughters, Felicia and Alecia of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, including a very a special grandson- LaShaun; a host of in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. Last, but not least, his loving wife Dicy Cary Cowart - our closing song: "I'm so glad we had this time together"…. so long. Memorial Services will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
