Shreveport, LA ? Memorial services for Thomas L. Alexander will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at American Legion Post 14, 5315 S. Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport, LA 71109. Interment will at 2:30 PM at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Tom, 68, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2012 from a long battle with cancer. During his short life, Tom proudly served his country as a Marine and was a member of American Legion Post 14 and VFW Post 6968 in Linden, Texas. He was well known for his love of playing pool, darts, and dancing. However, most of all, he loved his family. Tom was welcomed home by his parents, Georgia and Glenn Alexander; and brother, Glenn Alexander, Jr. He is survived by the love of his life for 17 years, Lydia Alexander; sons, Lee Alexander and wife Tonya, Jason Alexander and wife Faith, Sonny Mechelle, Christopher Howard and Billy Lee; five grandchildren; two sisters, Denise and Yvonne, and brother-in-law ?Red?. The family requests donations be made to Pet Savers, in lieu of flowers. Tom will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
