Theresa Ford

Bossier City-- Theresa Jane Edwards Ford passed away on the June 28, 2009, after a nine year battle with breast cancer. She never wavered in her love for her Savior Jesus Christ and because of her faith she was able to continue to share her undying love for Jesus with others and recognize clearly and without question His plan for her life and those of her family. If able, Theresa would tell all that this is a time to rejoice and not to grieve for she is with her Savior and heavenly family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bossier for over 20 years. She is survived by two sons, Ryan and Cody; two daughter-in laws, Melissa and Leah; her husband, Danny; sister, Wanda plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in her passing by her mother and father, a brother and her youngest son Jordan Allen Ford. During her life, Theresa received a full music scholarship for Tyler Junior College, was an Apache Bell, Miss Tyler, Miss Texas Pageant finalist and Talent Winner, Miss Louisiana State Fair Queen first runner up, soloist/member of Chapel Choir of First Baptist Church of Tyler, Woman of the Year-Olde Oaks Woman's Club in Houston Texas. She attended Bossier Parish Community College/Bossier City, LA, Phi Theta Kappa-Graduated Cum Laude. She was a Scholarship recipient -Editor Savior Faire Liberty Magazine, Louisiana State University at Shreveport, Chancellor?s Scholarship-creator of ?SHAPE?-a social program/internship, and graduated from LSUS Cum Laude. She appeared in ?Hawaii-5-0-Honolulu Hawaii? and did promotional work for Chicago Cubs Baseball and California Angels Baseball. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 10:00am at the Faith Chapel of First Baptist Church of Bossier with Rev. Justin Haigler officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Neath Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at Boone Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Feist-Weiller Cancer center in Shreveport, TN.
