Shirley Sweasy

Bossier City, LA - Shirley Lutkemeier Sweasy, 76, passed away peacefully at Grace Home in Shreveport, Louisiana after a brief illness on Saturday, March 19, 2011. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 10 AM at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Shreveport. Father Karl Daigle, Father Peter Mangum and Deacon Bill Roche will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21 from 5-7PM at Boone Funeral Home on Airline Drive in Bossier City. Shirley was born June 18, 1934 in Frankfort, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Owen Sweasy, two daughters, Denise Sweasy Jackson and husband Gene of Auburn, Washington, Diane Sweasy DunkiJacobsNolten and husband Peter of Bossier City, Louisiana, two sons, Greg Sweasy of Hutto, Texas, Neil Sweasy and wife Lisa of Monroe, Louisiana, and three grandsons, Kevin DunkiJacobsNolten, Jonathan Jackson and Taylor Jackson. She is also survived by two sisters, JoAnne Mauer of Frankfort, Kentucky and Kay Hurd of Moores Hill, Indiana. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christus Schumpert Grace Home or the Alzheimer?s Association. Special thanks to all the staff of Kingsley Place Assisted Living Home, Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital, ICU and 3rd floor and Christus Schumpert Grace Home and to Dr. Roy Fleniken.
