Bossier City, LA ? Graveside services for Shirley Smith will be 12:00 PM, Friday, July 29, 2011 at Forest Park Cemetery West. The family will receive friends between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, Friday, July 29, 2011 at Boone Funeral Home-Shreveport Chapel. Shirley, 74, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2011 following a long illness. She owned her own beauty shop for many years and later began her second career at Sam?s Club, where she made many friends. She was known for her colorful life and people were drawn to her outgoing personality. She is survived by daughter, Teresa Burt; sons, Billy Ray Burt and wife Darlene, and Norman Burt and wife Brenda; four grandchildren, sisters, Arvil Culpepper and Nedra Vines; brother, G. B. Smith, Jr.; and special niece Donna Thompson. Pallbearers will be David Vail, Terry Carson, Todd Ogletree, Ritchie Thompson, Micah Thompson and Chris Burt.
