Robert Lucky

Robert Samuel “Bob” Lucky, 71, died September 28, 2024, at his home in Castor, Louisiana. He will be truly missed by many people. 

Bob was born on April 27,1953 in Ruston, Louisiana. He graduated from Jonesboro Hodge High School and attended Louisiana Tech. After working for several years in the Ruston area, Bob moved to Brevard, NC in 1988 and became a Forestry Technician. In 2003 he moved to Castor and worked at a sawmill before retirement.

Bob was a Master Craftsman and made beautiful furniture. He was a true artist and for those of us who own something he made, we are truly grateful. He loved animals and would adopt any stray dog or cat in need. Bob also loved music and had been to countless concerts through the years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Robinson Lucky, parents Marguerite and Samuel Lucky and his sister Susan Horn. Bob is survived by his brother-in-law Wayne Horn, his niece Amanda and husband Travis Coyne, great-nephew Samuel Coyne and great-niece Marguerite Coyne all of Brevard, NC. We will miss Bob’s keen sense of humor and trips to Brevard for the holidays.

There will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
