Robert C. Hart

Bossier City, LA - Robert, 83, passed away peacefully January 24, 2014, with family by his side. A retired United States Air Force SMSgt, Robert continued to serve others through 17 years of volunteerism with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. Through this ministry, Robert served God by serving others, stating, "Because of my efforts each day, people will eat better, have something in their stomachs, and not go to bed hungry." He is preceded in death by wife and love of his life, Lois June DeCamp Hart. He is survived by son Michael Hart and wife Holly of Bossier City, LA; son Gregory Hart of San Francisco, CA; daughter Lisa Hart Dabney of Topeka, KS; grandchildren Robert Dabney, Alex Dabney, Meredith Dabney, and Emily Dabney; and great-grandchildren Forrest Dabney, Jake Dabney, and Hendrix Dabney. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of canned or non-perishable goods be donated to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. A loving husband and father, Robert was a great man with a big heart and strong hands. He was a true patriot who fiercely loved his country and the people he served. He will be missed by many.
