Richard Rambin

d. November 21, 2017

Richard Dill "Sonnyboy" Rambin went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 after an extended illness. Richard was born April 1, 1937 in Shreveport, LA and graduated from Mansfield High School. As a proud Navy Veteran, Richard served with distinction on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga for two years during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his lovely wife of 58 years, Clarine Lanson Rambin, whom he met on his sales route while she was working at her father's store. Richard is also survived by children; Richard L. "Sonny" Rambin (Jen), Daniel R. Rambin (Pam), Anthony C. Rambin, Therese A. Rambin Puckett (Jeff) and Patrick M. Rambin (Stacy), as well as a large blessing of grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of who loved him dearly; and sister, Nelda Lafitte. Richard was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved listening to music (especially when his family played it) and spending time with them. The family would like to thank Highland Place Nursing and Rehab Facility and Christus Schumpert Hospice for their loving care of Richard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Family will receive guests Wednesday, November 29, 2017 between 10:00 to 12:00 with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 Noon at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier. Officiating will be Pastor Tommy Patton. Interment will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Richard loved his family, country and church. He will be greatly missed by everyone that had the honor of knowing him.
