Raymond was a loving father and husband, an exceptional grandfather and a perfect companion. He loved to fish and spend time at Lake O’ the Pines. He would always take time to build anything that was needed for his family and friends. He loved everyone and everyone loved Raymond. He served in the US Army and was decorated with the rank of rifle M-14 Expert. He was a patient and a kind man that was always trying to help others. After he returned from his service, he retired from Cherokee Steel Fabrication Inc in White Oak, Texas. Raymond never knew a stranger and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. A very compassionate and loving man that will always be remembered by anyone that ever met him. Many will remember him by his humor and his best one liner when asked how he was doing…..”Well, I’m just clicking like a chicken”.
Meeting him in Heaven will be his father Charlie Judson Spruell and mother Velma Mae (Gleason) Spruell of Springhill, La. As well as his wife of 42 years, Brenda Kay Spruell. His sister Kathleen Loise Malone and brother Charles Willis Spruell will be welcoming him as well.
