Piedad Noguera

Piedad Sola Noguera aged 85 passed away peacefully on Sunday 17 Nov 2024 in her home in Bossier City, LA.

 Piedad Sola Noguera was born in San Jose de Chaltura, Ecuador to Luz Maria Nogales and Cesar Froilan Sola. On Mar 5th, 1939. She was the only daughter between her parents.

 At the age of 7 she lost her father and was raised by her wonderful aunts and uncles on her father’s side. At the age of 25 she married Palfrey Noguera and legally migrated to the United States to give them a better life and settled in NYC.

 At the age of 26 she had her 1st son Alfonso Noguera and by 28 had her 2d son Eric Noguera. She then helped bring her step daughters, Elena, Grace and Maria to the US. She worked 2 jobs at one time to save up and buy a home in Richmond Hill Queens. Worked for NY Infirmary-Beekman Downtown hospital in Manhattan for over 35 yrs. She worked approximately 5 blocks from the WTC and witnessed the 2d plane hit the World Trade Center Tower 2. She worked long hours/days to in process victims of the heinous terrorist attack on America. Her close proximity to ground zero caused her to contract lung cancer over the yrs from contaminated air exposure.

 Piedad loved to travel and visited places like Mexico, Korea, the Philippines, Taipei, Hawaii, Ecuador, Colombia. She also loved her native music, and spending time with family. She will be remembered for being loving, caring, kind, brave, helpful and generous while being devoted to family.

 Those left to cherish her memory include her oldest son Alfonso Noguera, wife Esmy and granddaughters Melissa and Cynthia with her husband Adam Blancher. Youngest son Eric Noguera, grandson Christian. Step daughters Maria Lopez, husband Javier, son n law Marco Cuasapaz, Ximena. Step sons Rodrigo, Joffre and numerous grandchildren. Best friends Fanny Gavilanez who was like a daughter to her, Magda Stiegler, Inez Campana and their wonderful families.

 Piedad was predeceased by her father Froilan and mother Luz, husband Palfrey, step son Rodrigo step daughter Elena and daughter n law Elizabeth.
