Phil and Sharon relocated their family from Massachusetts to Bossier City, Louisiana, in July 1978. Their new-found friends, neighbors, rewarding work, and Louisiana experiences have provided countless blessings for all these years. Phil worked for Builders Supply immediately upon arriving in Louisiana and for many years thereafter. He began working in the Parks Department and was working in the Engineering Department when he died. He was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer 6 weeks ago and the kindness, generosity and loving support he received from his ?City Family? as well as the contractors with whom he worked, provided him with untold comfort for what he knew was going to be a long journey. He left work with words of encouragement from his supervisor, Barbara Featherston, and died 30 minutes later, a confident, well-loved and proud man.
