Pauline Lott Gary, 99, of Shreveport LA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 11, 2024. Pauline was born July 4, 1925 to Fred and Dora Lott, in Falcon MS, after her twin brother Jessie Paul. They were both orphaned after their parents passed away by the age of 2 1/2. They were raised by their older sisters, Emma Lott Ward and Bessie Lott Ward.
She married Jodie Ray Gary on January 17, 1949 and moved to Shreveport in 1950. They were together until his death on February 19, 1963.
She was a homemaker and babysat many during her years. Her heart and home were always open to anyone in need. Pauline was everyone's Grandma. She was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church. She loved to dance and enjoyed visits from her little dancing buddy, her great grandson SSGT Nicholas Williams of the United States Air Force.
She is survived by her sons Bruce Pate, Billy Lott, Jodie Gary (Sharon), and Glen Gary, daughter Joyce Gary-Lee, and granddaughter Jamie Gary Williams (Daniel) whom she raised after Jamie's mother, Rebecca Gary disappeared on December 27, 1988, and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Dora Lott, her husband Jodie Ray Gary, sisters Emma Lott Ward (Homer), Bessie Lott Ward (Frank), twin brother Jessie Paul Lott (Ethel), brother Fred Junior Lott (Mary Alice), son Fred Laverne Gary, and stepsons Junior Ray Gary (Rebecca), Charles Gary (Bonnie).
The family wishes to thank her caregiver Beth Scarborough for her kindness and love, Gentiva Hospice, with special thanks to her nurses Marquita Hall and Christy Humphrey, and Chris Anderson.
