Patricia Ruth Ayers Arnold

Patricia Ruth Ayers Arnold departed this world on July 6th, 2024, after a sudden illness. She was 78 years old. A memorial service will be held at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at 3 p.m.

Born August 1st, 1945, in Minden, Louisiana, Patricia was a beloved mother, wife, sister, and grandmother, titles that she cherished deeply. Patricia is survived by her husband of 63 years, Garlan (G.W.) Arnold, as well as her daughter, Cindy Kay Arnold, and her son, Gregory W. Arnold along with his wife, Marianne. She is also survived by her brother, Joe Ayers and his wife, Bonnie, and her foster brother, Jesse Carrigan and his wife, Diane. Finally, she was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, Cameron, Noel, Holly, Angela, Alexander, Nicholas, and Carly and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Rev. Rabon and Mrs. Iva Lou Ayers, two sisters, Vernor Burge and Jewell Ayers Fogger, and one brother, Pete Ayers.

Patricia centered her life around her family. Seldom was it possible to have a conversation with her that did not turn to the topic of those she loved, and never was she happier than when she was able to gather them under one roof. Her love was made evident by her many acts of generosity and kindness.

Patricia was an avid lover of animals, and her home almost always included a dog that she doted on and pampered. She also had a deep love for music and listened to gospel music often. Patricia surrounded herself with the people and things that brought her joy. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones and those who knew her, on whom she made a lasting impression. 

The family would like to thank her special niece Judi Fogger Farmer for her love and fruitful time spent with mom. The family would also like to thank the doctors and caregivers that worked so diligently to care for Patricia during the difficult weeks leading to her passing.
