Norman was born on May 30, 1931 in Shreveport, LA. On December 29, 2023, he went from this life to a life with no pain or sickness. He joined his parents and brothers for a family reunion. No doubt they are playing dominoes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Isabelle Houseman Mabry; his brothers, William D. Mabry, Jr, Billie, and Charles Ellis Mabry. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sylvia Massey Mabry; one son Norman L. (Dink) Mabry, Jr. (Dicki) of Waskom, TX; one sister, Sarah Mabry Hadwin (Jerry) of Charleston, AR; sister-in-law Pauline Mabry of Marshall, TX; and his “almost daughters” Kathy Davis Hanley, Karen Davis McIlvoy (James), and Kim Davis Huff (Don); also his special lifelong friends, Wayne Dillman (Carol) and Paul Rachal (Margie) and many friends.
He will be missed by all who knew him. He never met a stranger. He loved camping with friends and always talked about going to Atlanta State Park one more time with them.
