Graveside services for Nealia "Red" Crowell will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at 1:00 pm at Forest Park Cemetery West.
Mr. Crowell passed away January 22, 2008, in Shreveport. He was born on December 16, 1922, in Gibsland, LA. Mr. Crowell served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII being awarded the Purple Heart. He worked at Tri-State Magneto and Generator for 40 years before retiring, then enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Mr. Crowell was a member of Queensborough Baptist Church.
His wife, Myrtle Crowell as well as two sisters preceded him in death. Surviving him are his children and their spouses: Clinton and Laura Crowell, Don Crowell, Louise and Ronnie McGee, Sandra and David Brown; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Willis-Knighton North/LifeCare for their service and dedication. Please send memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Mr. Crowell, in lieu of flowers.
Pallbearers will be Ben Crawford, David Crowell, Steven Barber, Brandon Brown, Paul Kelly, and Andy Winkler.
