Mona Lynne Neal

November 24, 1961 — June 1, 2024

Mona Lynne Neal- Also known as Nonie, Granny and Momo-Born November 24, 1961 to Charles and Merv Guillory in Hammond, LA.  She was the second born child between brothers Steve and John Guillory.  Being a military brat she lived in many places as a child but ended up in Bossier City and Attended Bossier High School.

Mona and James married on April 21, 1990.  She was the love of his life.  They had a love that endured everything.  They took care of each other in sickness and in health.  She spent her life as a homemaker raising her daughter Christy and later her granddaughter Alexis.  She loved all of her family and spent as much time as she could with them.  There were many cookouts and holidays spent together through the years with so many cherished memories to remind us how much she loved us.  Mona never met a stranger and was a joy to be around .  She was a beautiful lady with the kindest soul.  Her smile was contagious and was loved and adored by all that met her.  She was not only a devoted wife, a caring daughter, mother, sister and friend....She was also a second " MOM" to many.  She was always putting others before herself.

Mona was brutally honest, so if you couldn't handle the truth, you better not ask.  She was strong and sassy and not afraid to stand up for what she believed in.  She was always encouraging others to follow their dreams and do their best. She loved to laugh and you knew when it was really funny you would get a snort out of her.

Mona spent many years taking care of others including grandparents, parents, husband, children and friends.  She was concerned about her husband being taken care of until the very end, when she left this world on June 1, 2024 after a brief illness.

Survived by her loving husband of 34 years James Neal, her parents Charles and Merv Guillory, Brothers Steve Guillory and wife Barbara, and John Guillory, daughter Christy Williams and partner Shane Carroll, Connie O'Brien and husband Kevin, and one son JT Neal, four grandchildren, Shelton Small, Alexis Boyer, Dillan Neal, and Christian Carroll, and three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
