Mary Louise Martin

October 4, 1932 — October 26, 2022

Shreveport

Mary Louise Welch Martin went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 26, 2022. She was born and raised in Shreveport, LA. Mary attended Caddo Heights Baptist Church for many years and later in life she fellowshipped at Life Tabernacle and Open Range Fellowship in Greenwood, LA. Mary had an incredible unconditional love for everyone and contributed faithfully to the Kingdom of God. We know that her love and contributions will be never ending and will live on forever in the lives of her family and friends. She loved gifting Bibles to her family and made sure that everyone had a hand crocheted blanket that she put many, many hours into with tender loving care in each stitch. Mary was always glad to see you come and would make certain that you never left empty handed, even if it was just a bag of apples. She was the most happy when she had her quiver full of all her grandbabies and would always make sure that each one got a hot grilled cheese sandwich and a good back scratching.

Mary’s most enjoyable hobby was buying and selling antiques at Canton, Texas. She had a keen knowledge of antique dolls, antique clocks, silver, porcelain, and china ware.
