Mark Lynn Yates

Mark Lynn Yates, age 60 died on Sunday, October 23, 2022.  Mark was born on August 20^th in Austin, Texas to Florence Marie Yates and Jerry Lynn Yates.  Mark’s family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana when he was a small child and he resided there for most of his life. 

Mark is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lisa Hennigan-Yates, his sister Tammy, husband Sam, and nephew Brandon West, sister Sharon Yates, brothers David and Richard Yates, and his aunt “Momma” Mary.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Jimmy Yates.

Mark loved all sports but was an avid but realistic Dallas Cowboys fan.  He also loved the UT Long Horns football Team.  Mark enjoyed gaming and working in the yard.  Mark loved his dog and his cats.

Mark didn’t want any focus on sadness or loss and requested for there to be no service on his behalf. 

Special thanks to Mark’s lifelong friend Bruce Webb for his support and for being there for this untimely journey.

The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff of Willis Knighton North for their compassionate care for Mark.  A very special thank you to SICU Nurse Kaitlin for her saint-like patience, kindness, and compassion in taking care of Mark.
