Margarett Crook

Greenwood - Funeral services for Margarett Crook will be 11:30 AM, Friday, March 18, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home in Shreveport. Interment will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 17, 2016 between the hour of 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Margarett was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lilly Culberson, and 13 siblings. She is survived by her husband, Clabe Crook, daughters, Wyvonne Brapbacher and husband Mark, Sheila Gimnick and husband Lelan, and J. Aliece Smith ; sons, Hank Smith and wife Carol, and Ronnie Smith and wife Rachel; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Pete Culberson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margarett never met a stranger, was always willing to help her fellow man. She has a great love of tending to her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Margarett had a special affection for traveling with her husband. Pallbearers will be Hank Smith, Ronnie Smith, Robert "Pistol Pete" Smith, Vance J. Gaspard, David Warner, Bobby Warner and Jesse James. Honorary pallbearers will be R.D. Smith, Dexter Williams, Lelan Gimnick, and Mark Brapbacher. The family would like to express a special thank you to Heritage Manor West of Shreveport, and to Mr. and Mrs. Monk McKnight for all they did for Margarett.
