A memorial service celebrating the life of Loyce Knight (Mimi) will be held at St. Mark's Cathedral at 10:00 AM on July 6, 2015 with the Reverend Dr. Rowena White officiating.
Loyce was born June 6, 1933 and passed away June 25, 2015. She attended Fair Park High School and Northwestern State College of Nursing. Loyce retired from General Electric Company as secretary to the plant manager.
Her passion was gardening, sewing and giving all her love and attention to her children, 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren that she adored. Her family was her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mable Stacks, her first husband James "Fred" Howell in 1975, her brother, Cliff Stacks and a grandson, Beau Mire. Left to treasure her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 38 years, Allen Bostic; her sons Jeff Howell and wife, Donna, Bobby Howell and wife, Sharon of Shreveport; daughters Susan Mire and husband Bobby, and Patsy Knight of Knoxville, TN. Also surviving Loyce are her twin sister Joyce Giles; sister Bevelyn Shotts and husband Ron; and several generations of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends.
