Linda Weaver

II Corinthians 5:8 "To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord." Our beloved Mother, Linda Lou "Mammaw" Sullivan Weaver , "took her Heavenly flight" on December 20, 2014, in Shreveport, LA, at the age of 78. Linda was born on April 13, 1936 in Saline, LA. From the day they first met, she and her husband were inseparable. They faithfully served their church, Baptist Tabernacle, for over 50 years in administration and many ministries. Singing was her passion and she often sang with her family and friends and was a devoted member of the choir. She was a very active member of the Joy Club where she enjoyed fellowship with other senior adults. Her greatest joys in life were serving God, her family, her church and time spent with her dear friends Luke and Becky Bissell. She was an amazing woman, loved beyond compare. Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Clayton Weaver; children, Danny Weaver and wife Judy, Kaye Pharr and husband Kenny, Lori Winderweedle and husband Bryan, Terri Escude', Becky Martin and husband Eric; 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and one on the way, 14 nieces/nephews; and siblings, Emogene Emerson, Luda Trichel and husband R.D. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mike Pharr, Adam Weaver, Bobby Stone, Matt Pharr, Marcus Pharr, Clay Martin, Lance Roberts, Bryan Briggs, Chris Kracman and Paul Hartman. Honorary pallbearers will be a group of Shreveport Firefighters that are very dear to the family. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Baptist Tabernacle, 8501 East Kingston Road, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clarke Road, Keithville, LA. Our family sends our heartfelt thanks to extended family at Baptist Tabernacle, the Trauma Staff at University Health and Shreveport Firefighters and Paramedics.
