Linda Avery was born on December 21, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska. Due to her dad's, and later her husband's, service to the military she lived in almost every state. She moved to Bossier City in 1984 for final residence. Linda met her husband, Floyd, in church and married not long after in Washington D.C. on August 6,1964. Linda worked as a nurse's aide until she and her husband started a family. She loved to serve people any way she could and could never stand to see anybody go hungry. Linda was a very dedicated Christian, wife, mother and grandmother.
Since she was a young teenager, Linda has served the Lord and it meant a lot to her to teach her girls Acts 2:38 as God's plan of salvation, and Deuteronomy 6:4 there is only one God. Her daughters are very thankful for this and want to thank their mother for doing the job God gave her and now that her work is finished she gets to rest pain free with the One she always said to look to.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Church and Rosie Mae (Burchett) Church, and her two brothers Ronnie and Glen Church. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Avery; their daughters, Mary Horn and husband Russell, and Elisabeth Avery; grandchild, Jonathan Horn age 7; brother, Tommie Church of Phoenix, AZ., and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr, Robert Hernandez, Dr. H. Desai, the team of doctors at Northwest Louisiana Nephrology and all the staff at Lifecare Hospital on Youree Dr. Thank you for everything.
