Linda Doxey

Linda Carol Doxey was born November 4, 1950. She was the eldest child of Carl and Merlene Anstead. There was Linda and her siblings, Kathy Cason, Elizabeth Anne Tyler, Debbie Cochran and Paul Anstead. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit. She was an honorable mother to Carl, Jerry, and Louetta Howard. She is preceded in death by both her loving parents, her eldest son Carl Howard, her husband Gary Doxey, and her grandson Matthew Ayden Howard.

She was very proud of her multiple degrees including LPN, Nursing Assistant, and Hospital administration for non-profit. She was a very kind, compassionate, and charitable. She was also a core member of the local AA community. She was the leader of a national grief support group, Parents of Murdered Children. She was an active Prayer Warrior alongside her church family at Faith Baptist Church of Bossier City. Linda was the glue that held us all together, always there with a kind word, a shoulder to cry on, a prayer, or a peanut butter cake. She was an excellent cook. She will forever remain a lady of great grace,pose,and strength to those who loved her including her grandchildren Leanna Soest, Bethany Mitchel, Carl Howard, Amanda Cherry, Savannah Stuckey and many nieces and nephews. We would like to make special mention of our appreciation of Kathy Cason, a dedicated sister and caregiver to Linda. You went way above and beyond what was ever asked of you. We love you.
