Lila Maxine Compton, born December 26, 1946 in Longstreet LA. She passed from this life November 18, 2020 in Stonewall LA surrounded by her family after her battle with breast cancer. She was a member of Fellowship Community Church and a founding member of the Sonshiners small group. She was a church greeter where she would greet everyone with a hug and a “Good morning sunshine”. She was a longtime member of CMA holding several different offices over the years. She enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles and spending time with her family. She loved her fur babies Scooter and Sassy, as they were the light of her life and companions. She was the sunshine of her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie Bell Runnels and Lois Sue Runnels, and a brother Jack Runnels. She is survived by her husband Jerry compton, and her children Mike Compton of Stonewall LA, Susie Chaney and her husband Rusty Chaney or Ottawa, Ks, Jack Compton and his wife Susie Compton of Pleasant Plains AR, Duke Compton and his wife Cathy Compton of Stephen City, VA and Glenn Brown and his wife Tammy Brown of Hamilton VA. She also has six grandchildren Daniel Wilkerson, Candice Compton, Harlee Compton, Michael Compton, Hailey Compton, and Mallory Compton. six Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial Service held at Fellowship Community Church, with date and time pending..
