Lenora Cecile Bass Thompson San Antonio, TX Cecile passed from this life on July 25, 2010 in San Antonio, TX following a lengthy illness. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010, 10:30 AM at Boone Funeral Home Chapel, Bossier City, LA.. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Haughton, LA The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home, Wednesday July 28, 2010. Cecil was born January 15, 1942 in Shreveport, LA. She graduated from Bossier High School in 1960, where she was named a ?Bossier High Beauty?. Cecile was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed LSU Sports and playing cards and games with her siblings. She also loved spending time with her 6 grandchildren. Cecile was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ada Mae Holden Bass and Cecil E. Bass, Jr. and infant daughter, Jamie Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Thompson; 6 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Terry Bass, Dean Bass and Mark Bass; six sisters, Sandra Roe, Kay Swope, Judy Taylor, Mary Casio, Ollie Bryan and Sherry Pulley; sister in laws, brother in laws, Uncle Jerry Bass, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers are Dean Bass, Mark Bass, Terry Bass, Jeff Wyatt, Jason Martin and Thomas Pulley. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Innovative Hospice Care ?Vitas? and Morningside Manor in San Antonio, TX for the excellent care they gave our sister in her final days.
