Our adored son, brother, father, and friend, was born on September 26, 1974 and rushed into the arms of his heavenly father like Joe Burrow in the 2020 National Championship on March 13, 2023.
Larry was one of five boys born to Charles and Billie Tipton and loved deeply by his brothers; Charles Ray and wife Caryn, Jonathan, Michael and wife Lacey, and Daniel and wife Grace. Larry also had a host of nieces and nephews that he cherished, Katie, Natalie, Justin, Maddie, Hayden, Charleigh Ruth, Genesis, Caleb, Bailor, Bear, John-Luke, Landyn, Annison, and Trustin.
Larry would be the first to tell you his two children, Charlotte and Colt, were the best parts of himself and his two greatest blessings. He was a devoted and loving father to Charlotte and Colt whom he loved beyond words. We find joy in knowing his qualities of being a humble, kind, loving, loyal, and generous man will live on through the both of them.
Larry left a lasting impression on all who were blessed enough to meet him. Larry was a humble man who was known for his quiet nature, his huge heart, his warm and kind spirit, positive attitude, hard work ethic, and his love for LSU football. It was rare to see Larry without a huge smile on his face. That smile was infectious and will surely be missed terribly by so many. Don't let that quiet nature fool you, though. Once he warmed up he could have a room roaring with laughter.
Larry knew and loved the Lord, so we rejoice and give God all the glory for the knowledge that we will see our beloved Larry again. We hold tight to the words of 1Corinthians 15:55, "Oh death, where is your victory? Oh death, where is your sting?" for we know our Larry has been set free, made brand new, and is living in victory with our Lord and Savior.
We encourage any and all who knew and loved Larry to come help us celebrate his life and homecoming.
We would like to thank everyone who has reached out and shown love and kindness to our family during this time.
