Justine Mannino

Shreveport- Funeral services for Justine Moore Mannino,86, will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:00am at Boone Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery St. Vincent. The Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Mannino, born October 23, 1922, passed from this life on Saturday, June 27 from a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Progressive Care Nursing Home for the past three years. Mrs. Mannino was a long-time member of Highland Baptist Church of Shreveport. She retired as bookkeeper of the Caddo Parish Police Jury after 20 years of service. A member of the Red River Quilter?s Guild and avid seamstress, she was well known for her homemade jellies. Her parents, husband, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters preceded Justine in death. She is survived by her two daughters, Patsy Cloyd and husband Walt of Bella Vista, AR and Rita Kohari of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
