Jon Anthony Wintamute, 86, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Bossier City, Louisiana after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's. Born on July 19, 1938, in Horseheads, New York, Jon was a man of many passions, including his love for animals, water sports, fishing, and particularly his admiration for old cars which he collected and restored.
Jon proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant (MSgt). His dedication to his country was paralleled by his commitment to his business, Ohnest Jon's Country Store, from which he retired as a respected owner.
Surviving Jon is his wife, Angeles Wintamute; daughter Lynn Rambin; daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and Jason Brown; grandchildren, Wes Keith, Christopher Rambin, and Bethany Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Kathy Wintamute; sisters Suzanne Wintamute Bradshaw and Debbie Yerkes Brambley; as well as nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Marie Wintamute; his first wife Joyce Wintamute; brother, Gene Wintamute; and children, Ian and Lise Wintamute.
