Johnny R. Grammer Bossier City LA - Funeral services for Johnny R. Grammer will be held Saturday December 4, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. Interment will follow at 4:00 P.M. at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville TX. Visitation for Johnny will be held Friday December 3, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at funeral home. Johnny was born February 8, 1937 in Jasper Texas to John H. Grammer and Maggie Dell Duke and was raised in Woodville Texas. After four years in the U.S. Air Force he completed a bachelors degree in Sociology while attending Stephen F. Austin and the University of Texas. His lifelong career with the Social Security office spanned locations in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico with his retirement taking place in Marshall Texas. He will be remembered by family and friends for his enjoyment of spending time outdoors at his land in East Texas. Johnny enjoyed 4-wheeling, outdoor photography, cruises, road trips, eclectic music, target practice, and spending time with family. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Grammer and Maggie Dell Grammer of Woodville, Texas. Johnny is survived by his wife of 49 years Judy Kay Grammer of Bossier City, son John Grammer and wife Jennifer Grammer of Denton, Texas, daughter Barbara Ann Edwards and husband John Edwards of Bocholt, Belgium, grandchildren Johnathon Grammer of Lewisville, Texas, Magen Fields and husband Douglas Fields of Amarillo, Texas, Jessica Edwards and Brandon Edwards of Bocholt, Belgium, and his many cousins.
