John Francis Horton, III

John Francis Horton III passed away November 16, 2020 at his home in Bossier City, Louisiana.  John will be remembered for his love of animals, playing card games with his family and the enjoyment and satisfaction he got from his work. 

John was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Horton; his father, John Horton, Jr.  and his second wife, Bonnie Horton.  

He is survived by his sisters, Judy Lightfoot and Sherry Stroh; his brother Dirk Horton; his son, Jay Horton; his daughter, Molly Evancho; his stepdaughter, Shonda Adams; his grandchildren Liz, Andrew, Nick, Dillon, Nadia and Edward.

There will be visitation on Thursday, December 3rd at Boone Funeral Home starting at 1:00pm.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue.
