Jefferson Benton Henderson

Jeff (JB) passed peacefully on July 30, 2024 into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. He was born July 23, 1934, living to be 90 years old. 

Born in Maud, Oklahoma to Winford Earl Henderson & Ethel Rutledge Henderson. 

Jeff served in the United States Air Force for 20 years with honor. During his service, he received a purple heart in 1968. After retirement from the Armed Forces, he relocated to Shreveport, LA where he retired from long haul truck driving hauling steel. After his second retirement, he worked for private security until 2017. 

Jeff had a quiet and humble spirit. He was a man of a few words. He loved swimming, gardening, football season (mainly the Dallas Cowboy), and NASCAR. 

Left to cherish memories, Jeff is survived by his daughters Gaye Lynn Myers (Ed), Trudy Booker (David), Donna Jo Stinson (Martin); Stepchildren Christopher Young, Cheryl Kochen; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and wife Pauline Kerns Henderson.
