Janice Marie Echols

After courageous fights with both breast and lung cancer over past 10 years, Janice Marie Echols passed away on Nov 28, 2015. Born on September 13, 1955, she is preceded in death by her parents Martin James Echols, Mary Echols Birchfield and sister Jacky Smith Lampkin. Left to remember their special times together are her sister Carolyn Pearce & husband Gary, nieces: Ashley Cathcart & husband Kyle; Karen Grisham & husband Hollis; great nephews: Colby & Garrett Cathcart, Carter & Brady Grisham; Judy Genensky, Marsha Genensky & husband Ernie Rideout; Sue & Mickey Parker, Janice Carey & husband Stevan Smith; and Taz, Kayla, & Dixie. A generous spirit and a talented artist, Janice enjoyed a lifelong career in civil engineer drafting in California, Louisiana, and Texas. She was dedicated to her profession and enjoyed learning and sharing her knowledge of manual drafting and 3-d cad system. She especially enjoyed food you could "taste the love in" --evident when she prepared her grandmother's authentic Italian dishes for others. She was a blessing to her cats and other animals she cared for, when they crossed her path. A donation made to Ninna's Road to Rescue will honor her love of God's creatures.
