James Edward Sabin

James Edward Sabin of Bossier City, LA passed away Sunday morning April 26, 2015. A visitation will be held Friday, May 1 from 3:00 to 6:00 at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City. There will be a private funeral. Jim was born May 31, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Sabin was a former ordained minister and a retired Professor of Education, at LSU- Shreveport, teaching for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by parents Robert and Evelyn and brother Robert A. Sabin of Minnesota. He is survived by former wife Meg Sabin, son Jim, Jr., his wife Cyndi and granddaughters Sammie and Hailey, of Inver Grove Heights, MN; son Tony, his wife Terri and grandson Jacob of Bossier City, LA; brothers Tom and Tim (Pat) of Hudson, WI as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim Sabin lived his life to help others. He was and still is a teacher.
