James Eric Henley, Jr. 22, of Bossier City Louisiana left this earth on April 3, 2021. James was born on August 3, 1998 in Shreveport, Louisiana, son of Eric and Candi Henley. He attended Parkway High School where he was a member of the Pride of Pantherland for three years. He went on to earn his GED. James worked in the Willis-Knighton Health System as an ED Tech. He loved helping others.
James enjoyed history, traveling, being in nature, and playing chess. He loved to watch Jeopardy. He knew so many of the answers that we thought he must be watching a rerun. His friends and family will now be required to Google random facts about birds and history.
James was preceded in death by his Paw Paw Neal Millican and his Uncle Mike.
James is survived by his parents Eric and Candi Henley; and big brother, Christian Strat Henley (Montana Ward). He also leaves behind his Nana, Debbie Millican; grandparents, Jim and Karen Henley; aunts, Tina Carroll (Ira), Denise Caughron (Rob), and Deb Henley; cousins, Dallas Asbury, Jr. (Chelsea), and Lola Page Caughron. James has friends and family around the world that loves him.
The family will receive family and friends between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home.
James spent many hours enjoying nature and educating children at the Red River Wildlife Refuge. In lieu of flowers, please honor James with a donation to friendsofredriver.org.
James is at peace now hiking a trail with his little buddy Gumbo. James you are loved!!!
