JAGADISH BABU VELUVOLU July 10, 1946 ? September 22, 2010 Winnfield, LA Jagadish was born to loving parents, Seetharamaiah and Seetharamamma Velunolu, in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was raised there with his loving brothers and sister. He was the apple of his family?s eyes. He graduated from high school, Taluka High School Branch Morrispet Tenali, and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from VSR College, of which his father was the founding president. Later he migrated to Canada at age eighteen to join his eldest brother, Basaviah Veluvolu. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Toronto. He then joined his fiancée, Ratnam B. Nagalla, in Philadelphia, PA where they were married in November 1971. They lived in New York, NY. Their son, Anil was born there in 1974. The family moved to Winnfield, Louisiana to begin their life together in a small community. Their daughter, Anuja was born in 1978. The family lived happily in Winnfield for 35 years serving the community in many ways. He returned to India many times throughout the years to ensure that his family was properly cared for there. Jagadish was a devoted and doting father, husband, and grandfather who was always supportive of his family and friends. He was a very generous person who will be remembered for his compassion, caring, and kindhearted nature. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Ratnam Veluvolu of Winnfield, LA; his son, Dr. Anil Veluvolu and his wife Jennifer and their sons Connor and Ayan of Shreveport, LA; his daughter, Dr. Anuja Veluvolu and her husband Dr. Sathya Jaganmohan and their son Keerthan Jaganmohan of Shreveport, LA; his older brother, Basavaiah Veluvolu and his wife Bhanumathi Veluvolu of Toronto, Canada and their daughter Anita and husband Dr. Sreen Mannan and their daughters of Flint, MI; younger brother, Jatish Babu (Syambabu) Veluvolu and his wife Ammaji Veluvolu of Dover, DE and their daughter Samata Veluvolu of Washington, DC; and his sister, Shoba Tummala of Tenali, India. Your care and compassion is deeply appreciated. Services will be conducted Sunday, September 26, 2010, 11:00 AM at Boone Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. Visitation with the family will preceed the service from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
