J.C. Stafford

Shreveport, LA- A memorial service for J.C. Stafford, age 66 will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of friends and family will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow immediately after the service at Rose Neath Cemetery. Joseph Charles Stafford was born April 19, 1942 to Don and Augustine Stafford in Houston, TX. He passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008, surrounded by his family. Mr. Stafford served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, and loved to fish and hunt. But most of all he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his parents, and brother; Bill Stafford. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Janet Stafford, two daughters; Shannon Stafford of Atlanta, GA, Heather Howard and husband Chris of Shreveport, LA, one grandchild; his precious Hannah Marie Howard, one brother; Don W. Stafford and wife Dot of Marshall, TX, mother-in-law; Marie Bordes, and Aunt Dorothy Chauvin both of New Orleans, LA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
