Heaven Leane Weed

Heaven Leane Weed entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the young age of 23.  Heaven was born January 19, 2000 to Chasity Leane Weed & John Bradley Weed, Jr., in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Heaven had an adventurous soul and passionately lived her life to the fullest. Her courage and determination gave her the ability to achieve anything she put her mind to.  She is the first in her immediate family to graduate college. She received an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Bossier Parish Community College. Heaven brought joy with her wherever she went, including to her job and work family at Bally’s Casino in Shreveport. She was a selfless person who shared her love for life and others with everyone she met. 

Left to cherish her memory are parents John & Chasity Weed; brothers, Nicholas Gage Hartley and fiancé, Paige Smitherman, Dustin Parker and fiancé, Miranda Gorum, and Landon Peters; and sister, Patience Whittington. She is also survived by numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who absolutely adored her.

She is preceded in death by her uncle, Brett Parker; and nephew, Grayson Hartley. 

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Dr. Bossier City, LA 71111. Funeral services honoring the life of Heaven will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 17, 2023 at Blanchard Church of the Nazarene, 251 N. Main St. Shreveport, LA 71107.  Officiating the service will be Pastor Delbert Terry. 

In her final act of kindness, Heaven gave the greatest gift by donating her organs to save others. She may be with God now, but part of her still lives on in others and within our hearts.  Rest my precious child.
