Gregory Bates

Shreveport- Funeral Services for Mr. Gregory William Bates will be held Monday, September 17, 2007 at 6:30pm at Boone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bart Gould officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Mr. Bates, 50, was a charge nurse for many years in stepdown in cardiology at Willis Knighton Hospital and LifeCare Hospital. He was a committed and loving husband, father, and sponsor of a host of people in Recovery Fellowship. The "Big Hippie" welcomed Greg into His arms Saturday in the presence of his wife and "the boys", Sebastian and Chevy. Mr. Bates is survived by his wife, Cammille Davis Bates; sister, Sandra Wickenhofer and husband Ed of Washington, DC; brothers, Timothy Bates and Michael Bates both of Shreveport; children, Allan Davis of Shreveport and Chantelle Daughtry of N.C.; four nieces, Meri, Mariah, Angela and Nicole; former wives, Candy and Cathy; and numerous dear friends.
