Gilda Jeannie Grishom

Jeannie Grishom, 70, of Saline, passed away on October 18, 2023, in Natchitoches. She was born on August 21, 1953, in Shreveport, LA. Jeannie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a faithful child of God, known for her strength, caring nature, sassy personality, and love for life.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Joe Grishom, Step-father, Wesley Myers, her sisters Brenda Thomas and Betty Temple, her daughters, Angel Tilley and Connie Dunnam and husband Ellis, her step-son Carl Grishom and wife, Letty, her step-daughter April Kibodeaux and husband Chad, and her grandchildren Justin, Joshua, Hanna, Star, Alyssa, Ariel, Albert, Alex, and Adyson, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Murrell Thomas and Athalee Thomas, and brother Murrell Thomas Jr.

Jeannie was a retired nurse from Natchitoches Hospital, where she dedicated her career to caring for others. She was highly regarded for her compassion and professionalism in the medical field.

In her free time, Jeannie enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, and spending quality time with her family. She found joy in nurturing her plants, preparing delicious meals, and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

A memorial service to celebrate Jeannie's life will be held at Briarwood Baptist Church on November 5, 2023, at 3:00 pm.

Jeannie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
