Gerald Lewis

Gerald ?Jerry? Robert Lewis went to be with his Lord August 11, 2009. Memorial services for Jerry will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Louisiana Funeral and Cremation Care, 3909 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. After working for General Motors Local 2166 for 26 years Jerry retired in 2007. He was a loyal friend, wonderful father, devoted husband, and the best grandfather any six children could ever have. Preceding him death were his father, Robert Lewis; mother, Dolores ?Dolly? Bloom; brother Thomas Lewis. He leaves behind wife, Linda Cordell Lewis; sons, Todd Thomas Lewis and wife Jayme and Kent Gerald Lewis and wife Tracey; step-son, Matthew Michael Sutton; step-daughter, Rebecca Sutton; grandson, Archer David Lewis; granddaughters, Jenna Danielle Lewis, Autumn Paige Sutton, Emily Jade Sutton, Courtney Michelle Sutton, and Jessica Eloise Sutton; sister-in-law, Pat Lewis; and numerous friends from St. Louis, MO, Shreveport and many other states. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Dornes, Ronnie Herd, Mark Wilder, Gary Varner, Daly McGowen, Mathew Sutton, Tommy Reeves, and Harry Ferguson. The family would like to thank Sister Sony, Chris King, and Ellen Bartell of Christus Schumpert, and Jay who has been his personal nurse for the last six months. Your help and caring during this time was very comforting. We have been blessed with your dedication and support.
