Shreveport, LA – Frank Edwin Miller was born June 25, 1946 in Many, Louisiana to Katherine Elizabeth and Dennis Harold Miller. On October 31, 2021, Frank went to be with his Lord and Savior, with his wife by his side. A Celebration of Life service for Frank will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Faircloth of Life Tabernacle.
The family will receive guests between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Boone.
At a young age, Frank proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict, as a member of the US Air Force. After his military service, he worked with Sunbeam Bakery, and enjoyed a 29-year career with Sportran as a bus driver. When not working Frank enjoyed fishing, participating in his VFW and American Legion Posts activities, spending time with family and friends, and participating in church functions. His sense of humor kept everyone around him laughing.
Preceding Frank in death are his parents, three brothers, one sister, and one daughter. Left to cherish many precious memories are his wife of six years, Phyllis Miller; son, Mark Miller and wife Trish; daughter, Dina Wright and husband Richard; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Terry Carlisle; step-children, Michael San Angelo and Debra San Angelo; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Pam Miller; brother-in-law, Charles Ray; and many other family members and friends.
The family sends their appreciation to the staff of Pilgrim Manor Nursing Rehab for their loving care of Frank. Also Christus Shumpert Highland for their care, and all family members and friends for their prayers and caring words. Frank was a proud American and a strong Christian. He is now in Heaven in the hands of our Savior.
